“As a triathlete that trains up to 16 hours a week during race season, the importance of massage is crucial to preparation for races and recovery. I have used massage therapy for several years now and credit it with keeping my muscles healthy and responsive to the rigorous training that I do. I found out about Susi Laura Massage from a local triathlete in Ridgefield last year as I was preparing for Ironman Lake Placid.
My goal was to qualify for the Ironman World Championships which would be less than 12 weeks after Lake Placid. To do two Ironman races within such a short time frame required my body to train and recover quickly. I credit Susi’s massage therapy for helping me successfully achieve my goals.
Susi has the ability to “read” my muscles and respond with incredible touch. Working through tight muscles or sore areas is a joint effort between massage therapist and athlete. Susi is a great, responsive therapist who listens to me and plans our session accordingly. Never have I had a “stock” massage from Susi, there is always a focus whether she is preparing me for a race or helping me recover from one. Susi ‘s massage therapy has become a crucial part of my training and I look forward to our sessions, she is the carrot that gets me through the hard sessions. Knowing I can count on Susi is important!”
